Oukrop Professional Writing Services' writing strengths come from our diverse work histories in medicine, teaching, marketing, business administration, personnel management, vocational services and film and video production. 
 
Lead writer, Toni Oukrop, a native of Louisville, KY, has lived in many parts of the US and in England.  Her education and training are as a Registered Nurse but the skills that she gained through nursing have been used in many areas outside of the hospital venue.  

The budding phase of her writing career began while she was working as an instructor in a school for ancillary medical personnel.  Though the text books were written in English she felt that they were barely comprehensible and far from user friendly.   Because of this she felt forced to act as a translator of the texts as well as an instructor.  She believed that the text writers were often interested only in the correctness of their material but not in the clarity of it.  She began asking herself,  "If I were the learner in this situation, what  would I need in order to clearly understand these concepts".  Her sincere desire to be a bridge of understanding between the students and the textbooks was the beginning of her particular style of writing.

Her professional writing career  expanded into film and video script writing when she married a filmmaker. The same love that she had for helping people as a nurse was transferred into helping people understand the context of the films and videos that her husband was producing. She began as a text editor and as time went by started to write, especially enjoying the "How To" brand of challenges.

Today Toni lives in Orlando, FL with her husband who is in the film production business.  They have 4 children, 5 grandchildren with two more on the way.  And yes, let's not forget the adorable dog, Bitsy.
